Latest News: A Look Back at an Incredible Week at St. John the Baptist Boys' National School

Dear Parents, Guardians, and School Community,

What an absolute whirlwind of excitement and achievement we have had here at the school! As we move through the final weeks of the academic year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful activities and celebrations that have made our school community shine.

Celebrating Wellbeing Day!

Our recent Wellbeing Day was an absolute blast, and the children had a fantastic time participating in a wide variety of activities. From the high-energy gaming van and boxing sessions to the creative face painting designs, the smiles on our boys’ faces said it all.

A massive thank you to Ms. Barry for her incredible hard work in leading and organizing this memorable day, and to our entire staff for their dedication. We are also deeply grateful to the Army and to Lee Reeves for volunteering their time to create such special experiences for our pupils.

School Outings, Visitors, and Activities

It has been an incredibly busy period across all classrooms, packed with engaging learning experiences both inside and outside the school gates:

  • Special Visitors: We were delighted to welcome the Autism Assistance Support Dogs to our school. The boys absolutely loved meeting them and learning about the incredible work these dogs do.

  • Chess Challenge: Our boys did a brilliant job hosting and welcoming the 4th Class students from CBS for a fantastic chess tournament.

  • Library Visits: Classes enjoyed an enriching visit to the local library, sparking great enthusiasm for reading as we head toward the summer holidays.

Student Achievements & Superb Attendance

We are continuously proud of our students’ efforts, behavior, and dedication. This week, we want to give a special shout-out to:

  • Our Stars of the Week: Well done to all the boys who received certificates for their outstanding work and attitude in class!

  • Attendance Stars: A massive congratulations to Ms. Griffin’s Class for achieving an incredible 97% attendance this week! Keeping attendance high this close to the end of the term is a fantastic achievement.

Thank you to all our families for your continued support and partnership.

Warm regards,

Mr. Nicholas
